ADJUNCT FACULTY - KINESIOLOGY
Department of Kinesiology

Position Description:
The Department of Kinesiology seeks applications for Fall 2022 adjunct lecturers for the following courses including:

1. Lifetime Fitness and Wellness

2. Other courses may be available

Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to integration of faith and learning in their respective fields. The applicants must have demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to working with and encouraging diversity.

Essential Functions:
Teach above-mentioned coursework in kinesiology including integrating fitness assessment and activity instruction within the Lifetime Fitness course.
Challenge thinking and develop the ability of students to engage in discourse and critical thinking in regard to improving their fitness and wellness.
Collaborate with department faculty in curriculum implementation, student support, and continuous program improvement.
Model a healthy lifestyle and have a passion for helping others make positive lifestyle choices.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate degree in kinesiology or a related field (necessary for teaching upper division courses); Bachelor's degree with related experience may be considered for the Lifetime Fitness/Wellness course.
Demonstrated teaching ability in lecture-based courses and lead students in group activities. Experience with learning management systems and online or hybrid course design is a plus.
Relevant certifications (personal trainer, group exercise, CSCS strength conditioning) is a plus.
A vibrant Christian faith, and commitment to an integration of faith and learning.

Salary:
Part-time, adjunct position. Rate is determined on a per-contract basis.
