Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery. gathers clean and sterile supplies. sets sterile instrument fields. maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. assists with the orientation of new staff. and participates on departmental committees. The identification of essential functions below is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties that may be assigned to this position, nor does it restrict the duties which may be assigned if such duties reasonably relate to the position.

Applicants with less than two years of experience may be considered as a Surgical Tech (8931) with a pay range of $32.01-$39.78.

Applicants with two or more years of experience may considered as a Sr. Surgical Tech (8930) with a pay range of $34.64-$43.07.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:

Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility

Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology

BLS Required

Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

Scrub Technician Certification

Licenses and Certifications:

Basic Life Support
