We are searching for an experienced Part-time, faculty - Emergency Medical Services at our Lompoc Valley Center facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Part-time, faculty - Emergency Medical Services - Paramedic Training
Allan Hancock College is accepting applications for part-time instructors to establish a pool of qualified candidates to will work at both the Santa Maria Campus and the Lompoc Valley Center at the Public Safety training building.
*Please note due to COVID-19 teaching will primarily be performed remotely.

Current California Licensed or certified Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Physician assistant, NP, Physician
Any baccalaureate degree and 2 years' experience or any associate degree and 6 years of professional experience in allied health field.
National Association of EMS Education Course Level I (or will need to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Current Instructor status in ACLS, PALS and PHTLS
Lecture Rate: $48.00 to $73.50 per hour depending upon education and experience
Lab Rate: $41.80 to $64.00 per hour depending upon education and experience
Activity Rate: $30.89 to $48.21 per hour depending upon education and experience
EMS 333 Paramedic Theory
EMS343 Paramedic Clinical Laboratory
EMS 353 Paramedic Field Internship.
The paramedic program is a one-year, three-part curriculum designed to provide Emergency Medical Services, Fire Technology, and Environmental Technology students with additional training in advanced life-support patient care. Upon successful completion of the program, the student is eligible to sit for the practical and written examinations of the Paramedic National Registry, which is recognized by California for state licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic.
The graduate of the Certificate of Achievement in Emergency Medical Services: Paramedic Training will:
Demonstrate the skill set necessary for a successful career in Fire Service, Environmental Technology, and /or Emergency Medical Services.
Show knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and codes pertaining to safety and efficiency in all risk emergencies and scenarios pertaining to fire, safety, and/or medical services.
Duties and responsibilities might include:
Will be responsible for preparing and delivering classroom and / or laboratory instruction
Will administer written and skills exams
Responsible for completing class reports, rosters, and timely submission of grades.
Assignments may include online, day, evening, and /or weekend courses.
Participate in the assessment of the student's performance, inclusive of both administrative and student evaluations.

Vision sufficient to read various materials.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to perform the tasks required of the position.

Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally. Lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs.
