Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for entry level formulating, documenting and implementing nutrition care plans. Duties include conducting and documenting assessments, reassessments, consults, calorie counts, and N+ Balances. Assists in the development and revision of hospital Nutrition policies and procedures. participates in patient conferences and unit rounds. assists and monitors drug nutrient interactions and education per department policy. and provides nutrition education for patients and families. Participates in process improvement and special projects. Oversees the diet office and patient services staff as needed.
Rate Minimum $59,090.40 Maximum $70,616.16
Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadDemonstrated understanding of MS Office programs, including Word, Excel and AccessDemonstrated understanding of therapeutic and normal nutrition, with the ability to develop care plans for patientsEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesRegistered Dietitian, or RD eligibility, with the American Dietetics Association. If RDE, registration must be obtained within the first 6 months of employmentUnderstanding of medical terminologyWillingness and availability to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed or requested
