Position Summary: The Executive Director of Perioperative Services is responsible for the visionary and strategic leadership in the planning for patient care, teaching, research, and operational management of UC Irvine Health's Perioperative Services. The Director provides services to meet physician and HealthSystem objectives through oversight and implementation of planning and development, financial management (operating budgets, revenue and expense management, capital equipment, etc.) strategic planning, clinical & process improvement, patient satisfaction, and policies & procedures development and implementation. Ensures programs and services are in compliance with UC policies, as well as federal, state and local agency regulations.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in NursingComputer familiarity using MS Office and OutlookDemonstrated ability to develop and implement programs and servicesDemonstrated ability to problem solve and provide effective leadership with a positive focus that will enhance the nursing services of the Division, providing optimal patient-oriented health care in an efficient and cost-effective mannerDemonstrated management experience in a healthcare environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesRN Certification in specialty area or management, within 3 years of hireRegistered NurseStrong clinical skillsStrong customer service orientation with an ability to interact effectively with all levels including staff, senior management, physicians, patients, and families
