Posting Number: F1900106
The Department of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in experimental chemical biology at the level of Assistant Professor. All areas of chemical biology will be considered; candidates with interests in drug discovery and delivery, biomimetic synthesis, structural biology, and or biomolecular sensing and diagnostics are particularly encouraged to apply.
An assistant professor is expected to develop a vigorous and externally funded research program, to be committed to teaching a diverse student body at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and to serve the Department, University, and discipline.
Chemical biology is centrally important to the Department's graduate and undergraduate degree programs in medicinal chemistry. The successful candidate will teach and train students in these programs and will complement existing strengths involving the design and discovery of drugs, biomimetic chemistry, biosensing, molecular recognition, and health diagnostics.
