Job Description Summary
The Workday Business Systems Analyst supports Workday at the University of Pennsylvania through continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure data integrity and analysis of business processes.Â
The position will oversee the configuration, efficiency and effectiveness of Workday. This role will work as part of a cross-functional team to support various HCM modules, including core HCM, benefits, payroll, compensation, time, absence, recruiting and academics. This position will work within the team as well as with subject matter experts on configuration, business processes, and reporting.
Ongoing, this position will:
Proactively partner with end-users to identify opportunities for business process improvement through better leverage or enhancement of existing systems. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Workday.
Develop and implement system enhancements based on requests from customers and educated recommendations. Partner with business partners to roll out new functionality and modules to promote HR transformation.
Test changes as well as regression test Workday against releases that are deployed to production.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Workday HCM, particularly with benefits or payroll is highly desirable. Experience with configuring business processes, calculated fields, and reporting; and with applying employment-related laws and regulations to systems is desired. Knowledge and understanding of business process concepts, including process mapping, design and workflow. Must be able to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task to develop and produce accurate, professional and error-free results on a timely basis. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail. Experience working in a virtual or matrix reporting structure, as well as with reviewing and documenting business processes is desirable. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office application is required and experience with relational databases is preferred.
