The USC Office of Orientation Programs is seeking a Cvent Systems Administrator (IT Business Analyst) to manage our Cvent software. Cvent is a leader in event management, online event registration, venue sourcing, and mobile event application technology, with over 260,000 hotels and venues.
The systems administrator will manage the reservations of all admission events, campus tours and orientation programs by ensuring proper technology set-up, performance and maintenance. In addition to ensuring proper system maintenance, the systems administrator must create reports, ensure the Cvent software is being properly leveraged, and serve as a liaison and business partner between our process owners and technical teams. The systems administrator will have a primary focus on the Cvent software, while also providing support on Slate and other CRM products.
This position will focus on understanding and better customizing our Cvent interface to meet the unique needs of our units, and provide a better experience for both internal and external users.
This successful candidate will function as the Cvent systems administrator and be responsible for defining all elements of system configuration, maintaining accuracy and consistency of data, and ensuring that information is properly mapped to the vendorâs and usersâ specifications.
The systems administrator will be responsive to the varied needs of the offices that currently use the system, and will be a key individual in ongoing systems development, expansion and customization.
The creation and maintenance of various reports is a critical aspect of the position, as is the ability to integrate and reconcile online payments.
Candidates with prior Cvent experience are preferred.
Experience and expertise in other similar software solutions is required. Finally, although prior work experience in higher education (specifically admissions and/or other enrollment services fields) is a definite plus, it is not required. A willingness to become an expert in Cvent as it relates to our various applications is essential. This position reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Development Programs.
