USC University Advancement division is seeking an Associate Director to join its USC Associates team.Â The incumbent will serve as a frontline fundraiser and will be responsible for growing the USC Associates membership.Â This position will report to the Senior Executive Director of the USC Associates and collaborate in planning and executing the Universityâs fundraising, stewardship, cultivation and support of the premier donor society â the USC Associates.Â
Main responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies for securing financial support; assisting with acquisition of new members and providing daily support for USC Associatesâ requests; managing and growing young leaders program; coordinating with Universityâs school/unit development teams on fundraising and stewardship strategies; planning and staffing high-end/VIP fundraising events.
Â Individual must possess exceptional professional writing, editing and analytical skill; strong verbal and interpersonal skills; superior customer service demeanor; and an ability to interface professionally with alumni, parents, administration, faculty and students.Â Must have the ability to work effectively with donor community, with the academic community and with colleagues in a cooperative environment.
Individual must have the experience to solicit major gifts of $50k and above and actively prospect and manage/grow donor portfolio.
Individual must have superior organizational skills and follow through to track and manage new member pipeline in coordination with colleagues across campus.
Individual must have ability to work independently with minimal direction, and an ability to work well with others as required.Â Must be detail-oriented and possess a proficiency in use of database and word processing systems.
Individual must have the ability to work in high-volume, deadline-driven environment with speed, efficiency and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Individual must have ability to create, read and understand complex data and reports, and occasionally write complex correspondence.
Individual must have the ability to proofread the work of others and ensure accuracy of all documents and reports generated by the USC Associates Office.
Individual must be willing to work flexible hours; some nights and weekends required.
