USCâs Human Resources Administration (HRA) department is seeking an experienced Learning and Development professional to fill the role of TrojanLearn Curriculum Specialist.Â TrojanLearn is USCâs university-wide online learning and development platform.Â TrojanLearn provides a variety of professional and management learning tools to the USC staff community. The TrojanLean Curriculum Specialist is an Instructional Designer that will be responsible for collaborating with internal central stakeholders, schools/departments, and vendors regarding the development, revision, implementation, tracking, and evaluation of online staff curriculum. The TrojanLearn Curriculum Specialist will use instructional design strategies and structures required to design and deliver content in an online and/or blended employment training/learning environment for various employee constituencies served by TrojanLean. The Curriculum Specialist will use learning authoring tools such as Articulate, Vyond, and Captivate to develop online courses.
Additional job accountabilities include:
Design and develop training interventions by curating, collecting, selecting, and presenting meaningful and appropriate training assets.Â
Design training materials using course authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate, and/or basic office software.
Partner with sponsors, subject matter experts, HR business partners, and key stakeholders within schools and departments to determine training needs and to assess the learnerâs skills, knowledge, competency, and ability gap.
Researches employment curriculum training/learning programs utilized by general industry and the university to identify gaps in Trojan Learn offerings.
Assists with developing instructional design strategy guidelines for utilizing learning outcomes and other tools to analyze pedagogical needs of courses.
Identifies existing training /learning programs utilized by general industry and developed by vendors that would be applicable for delivery for via Trojan Learn for various employee constituencies.
Assess program and curriculum effectiveness through the implementation and analysis of levels one, two, three, and four Kirkpatrick evaluation models.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Â

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 3 yearsMinimum Field of Expertise: Directly related experience in curriculum development, instructional design courses and/or online teaching in an educational or corporate environment. Working knowledge of learning management systems functionality, administration and reporting as well as web delivery tools. Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques.
