The Patient Care Assistant (PCT) provides nursing staff support in the areas of patient care delivery, clerical functions, and organization of the unit environment, as well as set-up and maintenance of equipment.Â The emphasis on each of these areas will depend on the unit assigned.
Minimum Education:- High school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum Experience/Knowledge:- Experience in an acute care setting prior to application preferred.- Previous medical training (EMT, PT Aide, or enrolled in a nursing program) preferred.Required License/Certification:- BLS required from the American Heart Association.- California CNA license.- Fire and Safety within 30 days.
