Masters degree in communication disorders satisfying American Speech and Hearing Association academic and practicum requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and successful completion of clinical training.
3 yearsâ experience in an acute hospital setting; Preferred.
Current California license/ Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.
Fire and Safety Certification.Â If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.Â
To develop and implement speech pathology services and direct patient care in coordination with the rehabilitation team and in compliance with organizational goals and appropriate regulatory agencies. Under the supervision of the Manager of Speech Pathology, provides speech pathology services for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses. Major duties include patient evaluation, problem resolution, patient care documentation, attendance at patient care related meetings, delegation of duties to support personnel, participation as a member of a team, and maintenance of an appropriate level of productivity. Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills. Precepts students, Clinical Fellows and/or new staff.
