Under general direction of the Director of Athletics, the Executive Assistant acts as the primary contact and liaison for all interactions involving the Director in support of day-to-day operations of the department, development of departmental programs, and the Director's relationships with on-campus and off-campus constituencies. The Executive Assistant performs analysis of a broad scope where results and recommendations directly affect the decisions made by the Athletics Director. These decisions may have an immediate and/or long-range impact to the department. The incumbent investigates, researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations to the Director. Additionally, the incumbent prioritizes the Director's workload, manages the Director's complex calendar, and coordinates all travel and meetings for the Director. The incumbent assists with drafting and review of correspondence to be issued under the Director's signature, manages the filing and records systems, serves as a resource for the gathering, analyzing, and distributing of information, and coordinates special departmental events.
