**This is an On-Call position to work on an as needed basis. The appointment duration is flexible, continued employment is not guaranteed.**UC Irvine's Division of Continuing Education is seeking an Instructional Designer to provide course development expertise and direction for online programs. The Instructional Designer will have direct responsibility for instructional design, project management, and faculty and instructor collaboration. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to problem solve and think critically, and also be able to adjust to a rapidly changing environment. He or she must be able to work with a geographically distributed team of content experts, part-time instructors, planning unit director, and support staff. The position requires strong project management skills, extensive pedagogical and course design knowledge, knowledge of ADA requirements for accessibility and the ability to assist instructors in achieving ADA compliant course delivery; strong communication skills, the ability to move projects with many stakeholders forward in a timely manner, and experience with various aspects of distance learning.
