Works collaboratively with appropriate Salk Faculty, Directors, Managers, point people, staff, partner organizations and vendors, to ensure the successful planning, management and execution for events that support the Salk Institute community. Responsibilities include contract review, budget management, project management, staff supervision, and event planning oversight. Position is responsible for ensuring that all events support the Instituteâ™s strategic goals and objectives, increase opportunities for interaction between the Institute and the community and reflect the high standards of the Institute. Incumbent will ensure that the team properly manages all logistical details of Salk events from inception to completion and provides excellent customer service to a diverse clientele.
BA/BS or a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
Able to work a flexible schedule based on workload and deadlines.
Evening and weekend availability to manage events.
Access to own transportation for business usage.
Satisfactory completion of the Instituteâ™s background investigation.
Willing to sign an employee confidentiality agreement.
