As Manager of our state-of-the-art infusion center, you will work in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Operations and have primary responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of patient care services in the Cedars Sinai Medical Center licensed units at Tower Hematology Oncology Medical Group (THOMG). You will oversee daily operations, clinical continuity, supervision and development of staff, performance improvement, and enhancement of the profitability of assigned areas as well as active participation in business development and marketing activities. You will also be in charge of maintaining compliance with all regulatory agency and accreditation standards and requirements.
Summary of Essential Duties:
Use your expert hematologic and oncologic knowledge, clinical skills and critical thinking in managing patient care services
Schedule patient care staff and assign patient care responsibilities within the scope of practice to licensed and unlicensed health care providers and other THOMG staff as indicated
Partner with the Clinic Director on interviewing, hiring, evaluation and human resource management functions of the clinical and support staff at THOMG
Develop service goals and operations/business plans for clinical services specifically, and as a component of the continuum of care within THOMG.
Collaborate with the clinical research staff at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute and THO Pharmacy Services to safely and effectively incorporate clinical trials at the THO Treatment Center.
Plan, implement, evaluate and documents the orientation and appraisal processes for the staff and trainees at THOMG.
Conduct formal and informal evaluations of assigned staff competency, determining staff educational needs, and providing structured assistance in areas needing improvement.
Provides staff training, as needed, both informally and in formal in-service presentations.
Act as an expert (superuser) of the electronic medical record, training new staff, implementing new functionality and providing ongoing direction for system utilization.
Assist the Director of Clinical Services and the Executive Director in developing and managing the budget for responsible services.
Ensure compliance with drug administration guidelines.
