Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $6,262.17 per month (Range 28, step 1) on the 2019-2020 classified salary schedule.
Benefits: A full benefits package which includes employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for employee and dependents; $100,000 employee life insurance; other optional coverages; and membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS).
Position Details: One regular, categorically-funded, exempt, full-time position, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside Campus of MiraCosta College. The work schedule will normally be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.
Basic Function: Under the direction of the Dean of Admissions & Student Support, perform difficult and complex business systems analysis of current business practices, processes and workflows. Recommend modifications, improvements, or new processes to optimize integration with enterprise and third-party systems. Develop and execute implementation and testing plans for new systems, system enhancements and upgrades. Develop system and process documentation and lead related training. Provide data, security, communication, and operational support for system users. Collaborate with deans, administrators and staff to facilitate system and business process improvements for the Student Services division and perform related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience: To be eligible for this position, you must meet and provide evidence of the following minimum qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelors degree in business administration, management information systems or a related field, and four years of progressively responsible professional experience in advising clients on technology solutions, conducting business process analyses and performing basic project oversight responsibilities; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in an academic setting is preferred.
NOTE: For work experience, one year is defined as equivalent to 40 hours per week for 12 months, or at least 2,080 hours.
