Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time Career Development Specialist- Mentoring and Internship Programs. This is an 11-month position.

Gustavus Adolphus College recently received a $10 million gift to support the expansion of a high performing career development operation. The position takes on an industry specific community that will provide all students with career advisement, mentors, as well as opportunities for students to build relationships with industry leaders.
The primary role of the Specialist is to support the career education and career development needs of students. The Specialist will support the implementation of the Career Mentoring program and the operations for credit bearing internships and career explorations.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Three years of professional work experience.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage programs and events: create, plan, present, assess.
Proficiency with or ability to gain proficiency with computer databases (i.e. Handshake, PeopleGrove) and web-based environments to facilitate service delivery and community outreach.
Ability to create and maintain effective relationships with students and on and off campus partners.
Master’s degree preferred in related field.
Experience working with undergraduate, liberal arts students.
Strongly prefer ability to take leadership of a program including building and maintaining effective partnerships, problem solving, setting vision and direction, creating, presenting, assessing programs and events.
