Under the direction of the Associate Director of Residence Life, the Academic Greek Life and Identity Based Themes Initiatives Coordinator will play a critical role in the development, implementation and evaluation of a continuing residential living and learning program. The program will be designed to enhance the educational and developmental learning opportunities experienced by students as a result of living on campus (with a third of the staff member's time spent on Greek Housing initiatives). The Academic Greek Life and Identity Based Themes Initiatives Coordinator will be responsible for creating and supporting academic success, department and university wide programs that facilitate student learning under the Student Affairs Learning Outcomes. This position will also supervise and direct student staff to establish and achieve identified programmatic goals. The Academic Greek Life and Identity Based Themes Initiatives Coordinator will assist the Residence Life team in the development of the overall Residential Life Program within student housing. Job duties also include (but are not limited to) indirect oversite of the Greek Themed, Academic Themed and Identity Based Housing within Arroyo Vista and outreach to academic offices and campus services to further the academic offerings within the Arroyo Vista community. During the summer months the Academic Greek Life and Identity Based Themes Initiatives Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Arroyo Vista's summer conference sessions. The Academic Greek Life and Identity Based Themes Initiatives Coordinator directly selects, trains and supervises 3-5 Summer Conference Assistants and collaborates on a daily basis with UCI's Student Services and Events Services to ensure that the summer conference sessions held within Arroyo Vista runs smoothly and efficiently.
