The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II), following established practices, policies, and guidelines, provides clinical and administrative support and duties in the licensed Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai.
The PSR II applies a detailed knowledge of the areas of assigned responsibility, and a general knowledge of the ambulatory/outpatient physician setting and its interrelation with the larger Health System organization. Ensuring the timely completion of work assignments in accord with established timelines. Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills for interacting with patients, payers, physicians, and other Cedars-Sinai customers.
Some of the position duties may include:
Answer and triage calls, directing to appropriate individuals or departments
Scheduling and authorization for appointments, surgeries and ancillary services
Insurance verification functions
Manage all MD request
Process and track referrals
Sorting and deposition of mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations following Cedars-Sinai standards
Assist in work assignments
Interface and be a liaison with other departments
Provide back-up coverage for other PSR ll Assistants
