a. Directs the coordination, design and implementation of all multi-disciplinary research projects funded from various intramural and extramural sources. Undertakes independent research in multiple areas of science, social science, humanities and the arts in order to participate in and facilitate research groups, evaluate proposals, and advise faculty in all disciplines about their work within the context of the UC MEXUS mission. In concert with the UC MEXUS Director, commissions and directs the coordination of special research projects resulting from the UC MEXUS annual Call for Proposals.
