The California Institute of Technology and The Huntington Medical Research Institutes announce the availability of two endowed postdoctoral fellowships for collaborative research. This one-year fellowship, renewable for a second year, is open to individuals who recently received their doctorate and are interested in doing research in the areas of interest to researchers at Caltech and HMRI. These areas include, but are not limited to, magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, molecular neuroscience, reproductive immunology, and medicinal chemistry.
The fellow will have an appointment at Caltech and will work with a member of the professorial faculty at Caltech. The fellow will have an office at HMRI and work with several mentors including Kevin King MD, Director of Imaging Research; Alfred N. Fonteh, PhD, Lipid Biochemistry; Xianghong Arakaki MD, PhD Electrophysiology; Michael Harrington MD (MB, ChB) FRCP, Director of Neurosciences, depending on project chosen.
This one-year appointment, renewable for a second year, provides an annual salary of $54,080 to $60,000, commensurate with the fellow's qualifications and experience. Start date is negotiable but ideally September 1, 2019.
The fellowship is open to post-doctoral fellows with a PhD in their relevant field.
Applications should include -curriculum vitae, -two-page statement of research interests and accomplishments, -proposed mentors at both Caltech and HMRI (please indicate if you have discussed it with the mentor), -one representative manuscript (published or submitted), -2-3 letters of reference
