Under the general direction of the Assistant Dean, this position serves as the Personnel Director and Campus Personnel Officer (CPO) in the Claire Trevor School of the Arts. The Director has oversight responsibility for the preparation, review, analysis, implementation and operational aspects of the human resources program for employees in a variety of titles, status and bargaining units. The Director is the primary resource to the Dean, Associate Deans, Assistant Dean, department chairs and department administrators on academic and staff personnel and payroll matters. The Director provides analysis, guidance, policy interpretation, and ensures compliance with campus, UC, state, and federal policies and procedures. The Director manages staff personnel functions and centralized payroll operations, oversees the coordination of a variety of campus initiatives for the School on behalf of the Dean and Assistant Dean. The incumbent also: provides executive-level analytical support on personnel matters (including labor and equity issues), and on organizational issues as needed; makes recommendation to the Dean and Assistant Dean regarding exceptional or unusual personnel issues; maintains communications and represents the School to the campus community on academic and staff personnel matters; and, with the Assistant Dean, leads the school's training and staff development efforts.

Salary: Range $69,000.00 - $88,600.00 Total Hours: 8-5, M-F Career Position. Final candidate subject to background check.
