This position as The Bildner Visiting Scholar at the Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life is for the 2019 fall semester, extending from September 1 through December 31, 2019.
While at Rutgers, we would like you to hold a five-session mini-course as part of our Master Teacher Institute in Holocaust Education (topic to be discussed) and participate in public outreach of the Bildner Center. This could include the Rutgers Jewish Film Festival, a program for the Directors of Holocaust Resource Centers in New Jersey, and planning future teacher education programs with our Holocaust Resource Center.
We also hope that you will hold meetings with graduate students at Rutgers who are working in the fields of Jewish Studies, History, and the Holocaust. It is possible, in discussion with the faculty in the Jewish Studies Department, that you may be invited to be a guest lecturer in undergraduate courses in your field.
Minimum Education and Experience:
PhD in the area of Jewish Studies.
