Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers, other staff. Adheres to all safety policies.
Depending on experience of the selected candidate, the incumbent will be hired at the CLS or CLS Specialist level.
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
Two (2) years of applicable clinical laboratory experience. Less than two years experience qualifies as CLS level; two (2) years of experience qualifies as CLS Specialist.
Experience in a lab environment which may have possible exposure to biological, chemical, and radioactive hazards.
A Bachelor's Degree.
Blood bank experience.
Ability to work variable shifts, variable work locations, holidays, weekends, and overtime when required.
