The Department of Surgery atthe University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking an applicant for apostdoctoral fellowship focused on outcome research in kidney transplantrecipients. This position provides strong mentorship in a supportive,multi-disciplinary environment, and an excellent opportunity to further developresearch skills and prepare for a career in an academic or medical setting.This full-time position is designed for scholars who will seek to establish anindependent research career upon completion of the fellowship. The fellow willwork with Dr. Miklos Z. Molnar to perform clinical research studies in the areaof outcome research in kidney transplant recipients using large nationallyrepresentative administrative databases such as UNOS, SRTR and USRDS.Experience in areas of clinical transplantation, nephrology, epidemiology ofrenal disease and international collaboration are required. Candidate with atleast 5 first-authored publications and at least 10 co-authored publications injournals with impact factors. The qualified candidate should have practicalexperience in biostatistics data analysis, strong ability to communicatescientific material and high enthusiasm to work.
Primaryresponsibilities involve 1,developandmanagedatabases, including national and local databases and perform analysis from these databases; 2, conceptualizingand writing manuscripts and research grants; 3, preparing application forethical permission and other grant related administrative work.
