Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science is seeking a qualified individual to be responsible for the Physician Assistant program. The Director is responsible for program and curriculum development, expansion and maintenance of clinical rotation sites, and maintenance of accrediting materials for the Master's Level PA Program. The Director is responsible for all aspects of administration and planning for the PA Program, including personnel oversite, preparation of the program budget and fiscal management, acquisition of external funds to enhance the mission of the program, managing all aspects of the accreditation process, and overseeing student selection for the program.
Regionally accredited Master's with NCCPA-certified PA; doctorate preferred; California Physician Assistant licensure or eligibility for California licensure; MD or DO physicians with extensive experience in PA education and PA program administration will be considered.
Three to seven years of administrative experience in an educational setting, preferably in medical or PA education; previous PA program development and ARC-PA accreditation experience preferred.
Three years of experience as a PA in clinical practice and teaching.
