This is a key member of the Academic Personnel (AP) management team, who: Independently develops and overseas initiatives to ensure UC Irvine's compliance with academic personnel policy and procedure. Builds trusting relationships with UCI leaders and staff and is accountable for associated academic HR laws, policy, and regulatory compliance within scope of the position. Under minimal direction and working with UCI and UCOP Office of Academic Personnel and Office of Labor Relations, provides consultation to deans, department chairs, faculty and staff on strategic decision-making, including compliance, conflict management and resolution for both represented and non-represented academic appointees. Manages the academic grievance processes and serves as liaison with the Academic Senate on Privilege and Tenure matters.
