Nuclear Medicine and Abdominal Imaging Radiologist (Health Sciences Clinical Series Open Ranks)

The Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine is seeking qualified candidates for the Health Sciences Clinical Series (Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor) with expertise in all aspects of and Nuclear Medicine and Abdominal Imaging.
Requirements - The applicant must be trained in Nuclear Medicine with sufficient expertise in abdominal imaging. Ideal candidate should have a documented interest in clinical service and teaching of medical students, fellows and residents, eligibility for UCI Medical Center medical staff privileges, and proven leadership skills. The hospital is an NCI designated cancer center with multidisciplinary research opportunities available. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in diagnostic radiology and Nuclear Medicine and be a MD or DO; licensed or be eligible for full licensure in the State of California ; fluoroscopy permit; and be eligible to hold UC Irvine Physician and Surgeon Medical Group membership.
The University of California, Irvine Medical Center is located in Orange, California and is the only level I trauma center in the region. The department performs over 220,000 examinations per year and has 30 full-time and part-time faculty. All imaging equipment is state of the art. The department has active multidisciplinary collaboration with other departments. The UC Irvine Medical Center is a 450-bed acute care and tertiary referral facility. Protected research time and research support is available.
