Dr. Jing-Yuan Liu’s group in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Indiana University School of Medicine is accepting applications for motivated postdoctoral researchers. Position is in the field of molecular biology and drug discovery using C. elegans as a tool to understand molecular mechanism of diseases and screening compounds for a cure at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Our lab focuses on protein dynamics and utilizing the knowledge to design novel strategy targeting these proteins for drug discovery.

Ph.D. degree in Molecular genetics and molecular biology using C. elegans as a model to investigate cell signaling pathways that are related to diseases. Candidates should have experience working with C. elegans and have ample knowledge including the ability identify C.elegans life stages with high accuracy (L1-14, adult, dauer) and techniques to generate transgenic C. elegans (cloning/plasmid preparation, microinjection, etc.).
