Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the University Registrar leads the Office of the Registrar in the management of all academic records and policies at the University. The Registrar develops and manages academic policies and ensures that academic records are administered in a secure and accessible manner. In collaboration with partners across the University, the Registrar also leads the planning and execution of academic ceremonies, including the University Commencement.
Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master degree preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum of six years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility in a University Registrar's Office or other academic records office. At least three years of experience in a leadership and supervisory role.
Demonstrated Knowledge and understanding of the generally accepted registration and record policies as contained in texts prepared and published by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers (AACRAO). Comprehensive understanding of student information systems and ability to work with information technology professionals in the administration of software solutions for academic record management.
Comprehensive understanding of FERPA and other applicable data privacy rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of data privacy policies.
Ability to develop, analyze, implement, and improve the integrity of academic record management. Ability to plan and motivate employees to create an environment consistent with the University's professional standards
Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by background in preparing reports and executive summaries incorporating complex information. Highly developed organizational and customer service skills.
