The Architecture, Innovation, and Infrastructure team provides Enterprise Architecture, Computing Infrastructure, Data and Integration Services, Mainframe Operations, and Enterprise Network services in support of technology needs for the UC San Diego community.
The Data and Integration Services team provides database infrastructure, data movement, data modeling, data transformation, integration platforms, and associated processes to support the enterprise data needs for operational, analytical, and strategic utilization of enterprise and departmental data.
The Data and Integration Services team is currently building the cloud-based integration platform to support the multiple Enterprise Systems Renewal (ESR) projects for UC San Diego. The integration platform consists of Informatica for batch and real time integrations, Apache Kafka for streaming and WSO2 API manager for publishing APIs. The iPaaS platform will host the Campus integration solution, as well as data access layer.This Senior Integration Engineer position will take part in leading the development of real time, streaming and batch processes over the new integration platform, as well as define and enforce the platform governance. Our integration tools landscape consists as well of Informatica Power Center and Analyst. This position will administer and support these tools and workflow development and governance.
Having significant experience, applies advanced data / information management concepts and campus / medical center / OP objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analyses of situations, information or data require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Selects methods and techniques to obtain desired results. This position requires in depth capabilities to provide data integration services including extract, transform and load processes, data sourcing and real time data processing and analysis
Leads effort to develop complex ETL, handling campus, medical center and 3rd party application data.
Designs and implement highly complex logical data models and data mapping or conversion
Provides training and support on integration processes to other technical staff
Leads continuous improvement efforts on development processes and platform governance
Demonstrated ability to lead complex project, from design to implementation, mentoring multiple developers and analysts
Demonstrated experience with data integration, develop and implements complex data models, and workflows to extract transform and load data
Advanced experience in the support and administration of Informatica tools and platforms, primarily Power Center, Analyst and Informatica Intelligent Cloud Ser
