Application DeveloperUC Irvine's Office of Information Technology is looking for application developers who are passionate about developing and running enterprise web-based systems and services and know the ins and outs of complex high availability systems. You will be working with other driven members of OIT teams to develop UC Irvine's enterprise systems for students, faculty and staff.Under supervision of the Manager, Office of Research IT, the Application Developer assists with the development, support, maintenance, security and management of the full project life cycle of complex web-based and rich-client-based, database driven applications with campus-wide scope. Many projects include the analysis of complex business processes and must be implemented as sophisticated workflow applications. Tasks include documenting and participating in project design and implementation from initial stages to production release.Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly with users, analyze and document user requirements, collect security requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, document workflow, diagram data flows and business rules. Must code, test, debug and maintain enterprise applications in various OSes (Unix-like/Windows) with various DBs (Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB) and with various application technologies.
