As an Environmental Services Department at Vanderbilt Medical Center, we are dedicated to maintaining a healthy and clean environment for our patients and family members. We have a very diverse department with team members who enjoy what they do and are excited about being a part of the Vanderbilt family. We sustain a high cleaning standard by employing a nine step cleaning process while training on proper chemical use, proper protective equipment, and patient safety. The Environmental Services Team is responsible for ensuring the hospital environment is patient ready and our team is full of employees who are always willing to help!
Our team consists of three shifts that clean patient rooms, offices, conduct safe trash disposal, and perform floor care. With a team of managers committed to creating an environment of excellence our department has made great strides as we celebrate higher HCAPS scores, consistent employee retention, and overall improved moral.
