Under the Executive Director for Finance and working closely with the Vice Dean for Research and the Associate Dean for Administration, for the School of Medicine, serves as the School's recognized subject matter expert on all matters related to contracts and grants administration. The Director manages the school's $120M research and contract/grant enterprise and directs the Research Support Services (RSS) unit, which provides pre-award administration and other services for 20+ departments/units within the school. The Director provides the RSS unit with oversight, strategic vision, and support. The Director works to ensure collaborative operations across the school's various support units, including the Research Development, Regulatory Affairs, and clinical trials entity (iRISE), as well as with the UCI Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research.The University of California, Irvine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer advancing inclusive excellence.
