Loyola University Maryland's Enterprise Applications department is searching for a Technical Lead. This Technical Lead will cultivate a collaborative relationship with business users within our Admissions, Advancement, and Career Center departments. Act as the liaison between Technology Services and various functional areas and across the user community regarding business processes and applications. Support the Assistant Director Enterprise Applications in implementing, developing, and supporting effective and efficient technology solutions that meet the needs of the organization. Have a deep understanding of functional requirements and the ability to identify the practical implications and system capabilities related to achieving functional goals with the University's CRM systems. Implement IT-related policies and best practice procedures. Work with internal resources as well as third-party system and support vendors.
Prioritize technology projects and tasks, and provide quality assurance via peer reviews, peer-to-peer mentoring and training. Supervise and review the development of applications following standard software development methodology and in accordance with standards and best practices. Initiate formal policies, procedures, best practices and standards for software development. Work with the Project Management Office to investigate, plan, and execute technical projects.
Assist in evaluating opportunities where the automation and integration of the current University CRM and supporting systems will improve University business processes. Address users' concerns, requests, and problems in an optimistic and cooperative manner. Demonstrate creativity in recommending solutions to user problems. Assist in a variety of functions and activities in business units, such as research, data collection, and reporting. Maintain a deep level of understanding of all aspects of the University's CRM's (Slate, Handshake, Raiser's Edge), ERP (Ellucian's Colleague), reporting (SAP Business Objects), database management, data entry standards, and data origination and integration. Assist in the installation of new application software; analyze the impact on current system, research problems and design and implement optimal solutions. Monitor system performance, produce usage reports and make recommendations for upgrades. Provide Level 2 and 3 support to ticket requests and incidents for all systems in supported departments. Develop and modify applications within the University's ERP to meet business units' specifications and adhere to Technology Services standards and best practices.
Bachelor’s degree required with 5 to 8 years of experience.
