Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of UC Health Data Warehouse (UCHDW), the Data Scientist collaborates with the Data Architect and Lead Data Scientist to design and manage the data visualization platform for UCHDW and works closely with business stakeholders from across UC Health to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
Rate Minimum $78,900.00 Maximum $179,900.00
Required Qualifications:5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL ServerAbility to customize Business Intelligence tools to meet user needsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to lead projects or portions of larger projectsAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadAbility to translate business questions and requirements into reports, templates and analytical viewsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or combination of education and equivalent work experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience with Transact SQL scripts and relational and multidimensional database designsMinimum of 5 years working in programming in a healthcare settingMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications: Business Intelligence (BI) tools experienceFull software lifecycle development experience using a variety of programming environments, including open source toolsKnowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and formsStrong technical skills in Excel, Access, Statistical Software such as Minitab, Tableau
