The Department of Management at Central Washington University invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Product Developments. This is a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin in September 2019. This position will t each and develop curriculum for core and elective undergraduate entrepreneurship & product development courses. Faculty are expected to advise students, serve on committees, conduct research, publish in their fields, and interact with the business and university community. The College of Business has a strong teaching orientation and requires a commitment to students through teaching and advising.
The Department of Management has 17 full-time faculty members and offers an attractive teaching load with generally small classes and a relaxed teaching environment. Faculty members are active in research, and a continuing program of research is expected and supported.
An earned doctorate in product development, business related innovation, anthropology, or marketing. Strong candidates who will have completed their dissertation by 2020 will be considered.
Experience or interest in teaching in one or more of the following areas:
Demonstrated excellence in teaching at University level
Experience developing and promoting new and innovative curriculum.
Experience with new and emerging teaching technologies.
The ideal candidate is an experienced instructor with a passion for excellence in teaching and working with students. In addition, the ideal candidate is expected to pursue a steady research agenda leading to consistent publications in quality journals in their discipline or ones involving applied or pedagogical inquiry.
