Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for financial planning and analysis to support ambulatory services. Serves as the primary Finance liaison to the Chief Ambulatory Officer (CAO) for all high level Decision Support requests. Develops, analyzes, and summarizes high level decision making data for Senior Executives, committees and University-wide bodies/agencies (OSHPD, HCFA, etc). Prepares historical financial reports as well as prospective business model proformas. Analyzes financial and clinical impacts of business alternatives using GL and service line data. Develops strategy and methods for providing financial management and planning information to senior executives/managers, clinicians and School of Medicine (SOM) partners.
Rate Minimum $69,600.00 Maximum $124,600.00
Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience in a hospital based environment working with general ledger and cost data as well as service line and payor analysisAbility to anticipate questions and address information needs by providing comprehensive analysesAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health SystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadBachelor's Degree, or equivalent education and experienceDemonstrated advanced level of analytical skillDemonstrated knowledge of Decision Support Systems and subsystemsDemonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, WordEvidence of sound critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively and strategicallyExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishMust demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior managementMust possess general knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies (per diem, per case, capitation, indemnity, etc)
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EpicMaster's Degree in Business Administration or related discipline
