Full-time faculty in the School of Nursing & Health Professions: will engage in teaching, scholarship and service activities in accordance with the University's Faculty Workload and Promotion/Sabbatical Guidelines. Teaching responsibilities will include 24 credit hours per academic year (usually 12 credit hours per semester). The faculty member provides leadership in the coordination of and teaches primarily graduate nursing core courses. Teaching includes primarily online courses. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, student advising, assessment, committee service, and participating in the life of the university.
Doctoral degree in nursing or related field, plus two years of post-Master's experience including but not limited to clinical and/or college level teaching. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Strong commitment to quality teaching and previous experience in online teaching preferred. Master's degree in nursing required.

INSTRUCTIONALACTIVITY (55-75%) Engage in instructional activity totaling 12 credit hours per semester and/or 24 credit hours per academic year.
As part of Instructional Activity load: - Prepare courses in accordance with published faculty workload guidelines and Quality Matters standards, - Grade all coursework using appropriate rubric, - Is available to students for discussion a minimum of 3 hours per week, - Meet with students as related to instructional activity.
Evaluate, update, and revise courses regularly.
Participate in the assessment activities of the Department, School, and University.
Mentor students in capstone courses as appropriate.
SCHOLARLYACTIVITY (10-20%) Develop and maintain independent intellectual pursuits, including research, that enhance teaching effectiveness.
Engage in professional activities to maintain clinical and teaching excellence.
Develop and maintain scholarly activities that involve students and leads to presentation and/ or publication in internal and external forums.
Attend professional development workshops, meetings, and conferences related to professional interests, including those of professional organizations.
Pursue internal and external funding sources to support scholarly activity.
SERVICEACTIVITY (15-25%) Attend all Faculty/Staff University, School, and Department meetings.
Attend commencement exercises and other required activities.
Advise students on programmatic issues as necessary.
Serve on Department, School, and University committees.
Participate in Department, School and University events.
