Under direction of the Student Information System (SIS) Technical Manager and in close coordination with IT managers, the SIS Development Lead is responsible for managing the implementation of in-house developed customizations, enhancements, applications, integrations and systems throughout the full SDLC in support of the goals of the SIS project. Provides technical leadership, software architecture, project leadership, programming, implementation, stabilization, and support of software solutions. Conducts analysis of complex business processes. Manages, trains and sets priorities for the SIS development team. Responsible for planning, communicating, documenting, coordinating and executing project design and implementation from inception to release into production. Manages development environments and their controls. Oversees the SDLC, change management, issue management, planning and resource needs for the development team. Leads the development of technical documentation and standards. Act as a resource to Office of Information Technology (OIT) and other professional staff in the resolution of IT problems or initiatives related to development projects.
Develops innovative solutions to unique and complex problems while addressing costs/benefits, risk/compliance and technology architecture standards and concerns. Ensures compliance with OIT standards and guidelines for enterprise-level administrative information systems.
