Position Summary: The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the management functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care for the unit. Supervises staff and functions while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and unit specific expertise. Specific duties include managing Human Resources functions; directing patient care activities; implementing work place changes; monitoring unit budgets; and participating on performance improvement projects. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients and others.
Salary Range: RateMinimum $38.31 Midpoint $53.71 Maximum $69.11
Required Qualifications: Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Bachelor of Science in Nursing Basic Life Support Complete understanding of patient classification system & staffing requirements for the patient population Demonstrated experience in a leadership role Minimum 4 years recent clinical nurse experience in NICU, (within the last 2 years) Neonatal Resuscitation Program RN Certification in Neonatal Nursing Registered Nurse Understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
