Under the general supervision of the Management Services Officer, the SAO provides academic advising to prospective and current students for the PhD graduate program and post baccalaureate program in the Department of Psychology and Social Behavior. The SAO provides high quality support to graduate students, post baccalaureate students, faculty, and staff. Assists with the interpretation of University policies including admissions, fellowships, teaching assistantships, registration, enrollment exceptions, leaves of absence, degree checks, and commencement. Monitors and manages the course scheduling for undergraduate and graduate courses for the Department of Psychology and Social Behavior. Assists both the faculty graduate director of PSB and the faculty post baccalaureate director with the assessment of graduate student interests, needs, experiences, and career placement, fellowship and GSR funding, student performance, time to degree/certificate completion, and job placement.
