The Dermatology Admitting Worker (AW) is a critical front line position in a busy practice in south Orange county. The AW is the first contact of our patients when they come in the door, so their individual professionalism, friendly and accommodating personality is essential to the success of the Patient Experience. The AW provides customer service to all ages of patients who seek and obtain medical or cosmetic services from our internationally known doctors. The candidate is instrumental in facilitating patient flow in the clinic. The AW works with nursing and MDs to manage the day to day functions. The Dermatology Center focuses on patient care and safety, and the AW assists in maintaining these qualities. HIPAA is a primary concern of all staff, and must be respected and is expected to be followed.Using multiple UC Irvine electronic and paper registration systems the candidate greets patients,determines insurance eligibility, schedules, reschedules, cancels and confirms appointments,procedures/surgeries, follow through on messages to MDs and back to patient when directed. Thecandidate is responsible for all insurance co-pay and deductible, as well as self-pay collections. They must have proven cash handling skills with accurate daily reconciliation.
