Position will provide comprehensive research administrative support to Department of Internal Medicine faculty for their research proposal submissions and awards. The primary objective of the position is to serve as the primary research resource for department and division administrators and office staff. Provide research related education and training to staff on an ongoing basis as processes and guidelines change. This individual will help faculty and administrators with the administration of faculty research projects in the budgeting and pre-award stage, award setup, post-award monitoring and administration, and closeout along with any final reporting requirements. In addition, this individual will provide oversight of research training activities and other research support targeting internal medicine trainees including students, residents, and fellows. Individual will ensure compliance with all UNMC, State, Federal and other entities' rules and regulations at all stages of award administration from proposal submission to project closeout. This person will work closely with the IM Vice Chair of Research, Sponsored Programs Administration, Sponsored Programs Accounting, CRC, UNeHealth and the IM Department Administrator to develop processes and procedures and educate research faculty on best processes and research compliance.
