Research Assistant provides research assistance in clinical, biological, behavioral or social science research within the specified research programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures participants fully understand the purpose, goals, requirements of the study, and eligibility status.
Initiate and maintain the follow up schedule visits with a caseload of study participants and schedule any additional testing schedules for the participants.
Obtains signed patient consent forms.
Assists in the maintenance research participant files and documentation for study related encounters.
Assists with research specimen collections, proper labeling, processing, storing, and archiving in PI's lab when applicable.
Collects, enter, correct, and revise data as appropriate into research database for assigned project.
Maintains patient confidentiality using HIPAA Privacy Rule and HIPAA Security Rule guidelines.
Reviews assigned protocols as necessary, ensure adherence to protocol requirements.
Assists with preparation and submission of documents to IRB.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in one of the sciences or related field of study (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: OR a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight (8) years. Prior clinical research experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience in Microsoft access database preferred.
