Support in the development and integration of 3rd party student systems and various Student Affairs International Center custom web applications. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced software professional with a full understanding of industry practices, community standards and relevant policies and procedures to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects with moderate scope and complexity. Resolves a wide range of issues. Demonstrates competency in selecting tools, methods and techniques to obtain results.
A Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent experience/training
Experience with developing complex applications using multiple databases and datastores including MS SQL, DB2 and XML.
Demonstrated experience with linking Web-based applications to databases using ASP.net and C#, MVC, AJAX, etc.
Proven work experience with database design, programming, administration and maintenance in MS SQL server. Expertise in SQL language to develop complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers. In addition to data stores including DB2 and XML.
Experience with User Experience software development using Java Script, JQuery, XML, CSS, and HTML.
Intermediate knowledge of secure software development.
Demonstrated experience with MS Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
Advanced skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts.
Proven ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs. Ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
Demonstrated ability to interface with management on a regular basis. Proven ability to contribute technical narrative to grant proposals.
Experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms.
Thorough experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums.
Demonstrated software repository skills. Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
Thorough experience with common programming tools. Ability to follow software specifications.
Proven experience in the support of 3rd party business management tools such as, ISSM, SEVIS, Symplicity Horizon, etc.
Strong skills and knowledge of methodologies associated with analysis of processes and problems, information flow and architecture.
Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions. Demonstrated broad problem solving skills.
Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
